ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / ACCOMPANIST SUSAN GARR
Susan
is a cofounder of the Farmington Community Chorus, serving as the group's
accompanist since September 1980. In Spring 1994, the Farmington Area
Arts Commission recognized Susan with the Distinguished Service Award
for outstanding service to the community in the creative arts. While studying
vocal music education, piano and organ at Wayne State University, she
sang in the Chamber Singers. She is the Music Director/Organist at St.
Colette Parish in Livonia. Susan also sang with the vocal jazz ensemble,
SCool JAzz PRime. Susan has served as choir accompanist for the Farmington,
Livonia, and Royal Oak school districts.
She resides in Livonia with her daughter, Melissa, and son, Adam.
