ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / ACCOMPANIST SUSAN GARR

Susan is a cofounder of the Farmington Community Chorus, serving as the group's accompanist since September 1980. In Spring 1994, the Farmington Area Arts Commission recognized Susan with the Distinguished Service Award for outstanding service to the community in the creative arts. While studying vocal music education, piano and organ at Wayne State University, she sang in the Chamber Singers. Susan has served as choir accompanist for the Farmington, Livonia, and Royal Oak school districts.

She is currently the music minister at St. Colette Parish in Livonia where she serves as organist, cantor, and choir director to three adult groups and one children's choir.

She and daughter Melissa (a singer in FCC) reside in Livonia. Susan has two granddaughters, Ella Mackenzie Garr and Lila Grace Campbell Garr by her son Adam and daughter-in-law Kimberly.
